By Scooba WangWhat a journey it has been. This started like a month ago when the boss told me I had to write an article every month. I did that for the first month, and I even did it for the second month. Now it’s been like 6 months later and I’m just dumping the rest in one day. Not really much of a journey if you really think about it. Guys, please, if you like this, get my name out there. Tell all your friends about Scooba Wang. Grab your children and tell them about Mr. Wang. I need this more than you know. It has been so rocky at home lately that I need a positive to lay down next to all these negatives. Lastly, If I’ve said it once I have said it a million times, go watch the Last Crusade. The Austrian chick that kind of ends up being bad is seriously hot. You won’t regret it. Now for the conclusion of “ The Star Wars We Deserved.” Kathleen Kennedy you can suck it. When we last left off, a ship had entered the atmosphere at the most recent battlefield. This battlefield (by the way) was on the planet of Geonosis. The Jedi factions agreed to fight here because of its low population due to the aftermath of the Clone Wars. A ship enters the atmosphere and starts blasting the entire surface. At this point, the movie would cut to black.
The beginning of the final installment would open up on a character we have never seen before on a planet that might be familiar to some: Moraband (the home of the Sith). Montacca Fah is someone we have never seen before. We follow him as he investigates a Sith temple on one of the most dark side centered planets which is home to many past Dark Lords. We then see a flashback where it is revealed to us that years ago when Ben and Rey were off finding force sensitive beings, they actually met Montacca. Montacca was only a young teenager at the time but he had heard stories of the Jedi. When Rey and Ben stumbled upon him, he was very eager to become a Jedi like them. Montacca was an orphan alongside his younger brother whom he was responsible for. When Montacca was given the option to train as a Jedi, his first response was to ask that his brother come with him. Ben and Rey expressed that the training was only for those that were force sensitive and his brother wasn’t. Montacca was saddened by this and asked if he could have time to think this decision through. The Jedi agreed and left. The next week pirates attacked Montacca’s home, taking him and his brother in captivity, with his brother being killed in the process. Montacca is broken and after he escapes the pirates, he is filled with rage for the Jedi. If they had taken him and his brother, they would both be alive. He started to see the Jedi as thinking they were above others. That their power made them believe they were better. He began to hate the Jedi. He blamed them for all his suffering. We flash back to Montacca at the Sith Temple. He is here to learn about the sith who are the mortal enemies of the Jedi. He hopes to find a way to defeat them and wipe them from existence. Montacca believes that the Jedi aren’t saviors, but destroyers. He believes without the Jedi there would be true equality that no one would be above others. Montacca vowed to learn the darkside to combat the Jedi and to only use the force until the Jedi were gone, then sever all ties with it. He wanted to bring about an era where the force wasn’t something special that put you above others. Montacca stepped into a small corridor of the temple and was immediately attacked with visions of the past Sith Lords. Montacca was able to communicate his hate for the Jedi and the Sith expresses that they would train him to become powerful enough that the Jedi would stand no chance against him. We slowly see cuts of Montacca training with the ghost of past Sith Lords, learning all of the secrets of the darkside. After his training is complete, Montacca leaves to travel to many planets in order to build up an army to destroy the Jedi. The ghosts of the Sith were able to point him to planets of old Sith Temples that still had many sympathisers and those who worshipped the Sith. Montacca went to each of these gathering supporters. Montacca didn’t need a large force, just one ship of soldiers for one timely assault. We fast forward to the moment when the two Jedi factions first clashed right before Finn died (and before the first blaster that started the fight). We then learn that Montacca orchestrated the whole conflict on the planet and was the one to fire the blaster. The Civil War was orchestrated by Montacca. It was his idea to let the Jedi fight among themselves and take advantage of their division instead of attacking them head on. Again we flash back to the present as the ship starts firing on the surface of Geonosis. Inside the Ship is Montacca and with him are all of his forces loaded into an ancient Sith Cruiser. It was his plan to start the war and wait for Ben and Rey to finally join in the fight and take all the Jedi out in one moment. Many Jedi are killed in this barrage. Rey and Ben become trapped under rubble together. It is at this time Montacca contacts all the survivors through the force and reveals himself, and the plan he had from the beginning. Montacca tells Rey and Ben about his grudge and that his brother's blood is on their hands. Using the force, Montacca is able to give Rey and Ben a vision that shows them all the chaos that has ensued around the galaxy due to the Jedi fighting each other. After this point, Montacca and his allies land on the planet and start going through the rubble killing every Jedi they find. Meanwhile Rey and Ben have both come to grips with the flaws of their teachings. Ben realizes that the more he focuses on his fears, the more power he has. He has to trust in the force and his friends and not his fears. He realizes that being too passive can make him a bystander to the chaos around. If the Jedi have the ability to help the world, then they should use that. Becoming a small operation and only helping small individuals while ignoring the large picture is a waste of a gift. Rey realizes the cost of power and what their reliance on it means. Rey realizes that doing good in the world with the force is an opportunity, not a responsibility. The Jedi don’t have to blame themselves for all the wrong in the galaxy. They don’t have to be unbeatable and they can’t win every fight and protect everyone. The galaxy just needs heroes to stand in the gap and use their power for service and not self. It's the ability to try over the ability to succeed. They make more realization and come to the conclusion that the Jedi the galaxy needs are more in between both of their factions. At this moment, in the rubble, the force ghost Luke explains to them the challenge of trying to create a new order and how at times he lost himself in it. He explains that as long as he was using his abilities to protect others, it was ok. He would mess up, but he had to stick with his mission to maintain balance in the force and fight for it when necessary. At this point, Luke leaves and Ben and Rey work together to lift the rubble and free themselves. Montacca sees the rocks fall and makes his way towards Rey and Ben. The final duel begins. Rey and Ben are powerful in the force and have been training for years. Montacca has been training for a few years as well but he has been trained by the most powerful Sith Lords to exist. It is evident that with so much help from the Sith, Montacca is powerful enough to fight both Jedi. After a fight that shows off immense power, the conclusion comes down to Montocca using a power taught to him by the Sith that has the ability to cut someone off from the force for good. This was his ultimate trump card. With this ability, he could take away all force users. There would never be powerful beings out there that could look down on him. They would all be equal in the force. With his power, all force users would be gone. Using this power, Montacca knocks Ben out of the fight. Rey confronts Montacca and eventually she loses her connection to the force. Coming back to his senses, Ben stands up to fight Montacca, but something crazy happens. The Sith Ghosts were using Montacca to get rid of the Jedi so that eventually the Sith would reign. After hearing Montacca’s plan to take away all force users, the Sith had to stop him to preserve their empire. They taught him to use the ability on the Jedi, not all force users. Through the darkside, Montacca is possessed by an ancient sith known as Darth Bane. Ben and Darth Bane fight until surviving Jedi come to Ben’s aid. Outnumbered, Darth Bane gathers his forces and returns to his ship. Darth Bane was the only survivor of the Jedi Sith War. This battle between his small sith army and Jedi brought him back to his height in power. He is thrilled at the idea of the Sith and the Jedi coming to conflict once again. As darkness rises, light has to meet it, and as light rises, darkness must meet it. This is the balance. Darth Bane, having possessed Montacca, retreat to Korriban and wait and rebuild the Sith. To Bane, it is the destiny of the Jedi to clash with the Sith and he will return to this destiny again. After the battle, we now have a small group of Jedi alive, along with Ben and a forceless Rey. After a conclusion to the battle, we are left with a new defined Jedi order that combines the teachings of Rey and Ben. One that truly is balanced and meets in the middle ground. We are left with the true Jedi Order that we have always wanted. With Ben and Rey having a deep connection in the force, they realize that because of that connection they can share the force. This means that Rey can use the force if Ben cuts himself off from it and vice versa. This allows both of them to still lead this new Jedi order while only one can be active in the force at all times. Now this trilogy ends not only with the Civil War over and a new order established, but the threat looming that the Sith and Jedi are both on the rise. A future battle is brewing and in a strange way, there is balance in the force. There is darkness and there is light, just like it was always intended to be. The Jedi and the SIth, after all of these years of one sided fighting, are on even playing fields. Up to this point in the movies, we have only seen one group shine. In the prequel trilogy, there were many Jedi while a few Sith moved in the shadows. In the original trilogy, there were a few Jedi in hiding without much power fighting a large empire ruled by two powerful Sith. It’s the exact same in the sequel trilogy. Now we have a large presence of both and I believe this leaves Star Wars in an exciting place. It leaves us with the realization that the battle for balance in the force is still being waged. Don’t forget that Parts 3-6, I literally just typed up in one day so I made some up as I went along. Don’t get mad at me if you don’t like parts of it. I mean who is gonna get mad at their ole pal Scooba Wang? Clearly there is a lot of detail missing along with gaps to fill and supporting characters. I just want you to see these beautiful ideas and truly prove that me, Scooba Wang, can one day write a better trilogy than Disney and Lucasfilm could in a whole decade. Kathleen Kennedy can suck it!
