9/5/2020 0 Comments Chicken Salad for the SoulBy DJ PiggEverybody’s heard the phrase “chicken soup for the soul”, but life’s not all dandelions and daisies. Therefore, I’ll be starting a series of articles called “Chicken Salad for the Soul”. It’ll be a much more realistic take on life. I mean chicken salad is good, but it’s no chicken soup. It is what it is. It’s not great, but it’s not bad either. With that being said, let’s hit today’s mix of chicken salad. Recently in California, a man who takes daily swims in his local river found something out of a horror story on one of his dives… a leg. However, the leg did happen to be prosthetic, so I guess that’s a little less "human centipedey."
The diver said that once he found the human-like rubber foot that goes with the prosthetic leg, he knew he had to get it back to the dismembered person. “I realized it was a prosthetic leg and I just knew immediately somebody needed it back," Bly told CBS Sacramento. It could be assumed that this story could be considered soup rather than salad, but let me lay out a few points for you. We have no idea how long this person had been without a leg, and he later told Bly that the leg would have cost $15,000 to replace. Also, let’s not just rush by the process of what happened to this amputee. I mean that river went full Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy on this guy (Marvel Fans will get it). However, the leg was found and he does have it back now. So it’s not all bad, but not all good either. It’s just meh. It’s Chicken Salad for the Soul. Photo Credit: dinnerthendessert.com
