By Garrett HowellAfter 17 long weeks of grit, grind, and Covid-19, the NFL has finally reached its most exciting point of the year: Wildcard Weekend. A weekend in sports that every fan looks forward to because of all the potential it holds. There is an abundance of possibilities inside these six head-to-head matchups, some more thrilling on paper than the others. I anticipate this Wildcard Weekend will be one for the books. As the average football fan sits down this weekend, there’s a few things we’re all wanting to see. Click that read more button to see matchups and predictions! Some questions for Saturday:
-Will Philip Rivers have the ball in his hands with under 2 minutes, down a score, and the length of the field in front of him? -Will Aaron Donald avoid a Rams O-Lineman with knives hurling his way? -Will Chase Young get to meet the “GOAT” on the field, or will he regret ever uttering his name like it was Voldemort? For my predictions for the Saturday Matchups, I’ve got the Bills beating the Colts 38-30, in a close game with the Bills scoring late in the 4th. The Rams pulling the upset on the Seahawks in another tight one 28-24, as Russell Wilson won’t be able to pull off the game-winning drive. The Buccaneers slaughtering Washington 38-7 to finish off the day, as the Bucs offense is even too hot currently for Washington to have an impression on them. Some questions for Sunday: -Will Lamar Jackson finally get that faster top speed in the open field over Daniel Jones that has eluded him all year? -Will the Saints take a tough L up the ass again like they have every year since winning the Super Bowl years ago? -Will the Steelers prove they’re not frauds or will Baker and the Browns throw them in the oven at 400 degrees for 60 minutes? For my predictions for the Sunday Matchups, I’ve got the Ravens topping the Titans 45-41 in an old-fashioned shootout lead by the ground game for both teams. The Bears will give the Saints a run for their money but, the Saints will prevail 28-21. The Browns-Steelers game being the most interesting matchup of the weekend in my eyes with Covid-19 looking like it could destroy the Browns season, I’ll take the Steelers over the Browns 21-17. The Browns could be missing too much of their roster. Those are my picks, so make sure to lock in your sports betting based on these predictions! If I'm right, you can thank me. If I'm wrong, it wasn't my fault. Photo Credit: wbay.com
